December is speedily unfolding. Are you ready for the festive break?
Previous years have proved that from the mid December recruitment within the block management industry goes quiet. Here at TemplePM, this is a pattern we have come to expect. However, 2020 has been a year that has spun all expectations on their heads. Therefore, who really knows what will happen next week for the team here? It makes it far more exciting to anticipate as it speedily approaches.
This year has proved that recruitment within the block management industry has continued without too much disruption. Changing interviews to a video style has proved a swift and uncomplicated format for most to adapt to. Placements are still being made despite the uncertain working conditions, including working mainly from home and increased precautions for site visits, etc. These uncertain times may have resulted in a loss of jobs as some businesses find they cannot survive alongside the pandemic too. We have definitely had to step up and help many candidates seeking some positive direction in their lives.
It cannot be ignored that with December, also comes Christmas!! Wahoo! But wait, what are the ‘rules’ going to be for our festive season? Which tier are you in and how will it affect how you choose to celebrate? Are the grouping rules going to be easy for you to adhere to? How willing are you to bend the rules to ensure your family has a wonderful time? There are so many things to consider for Christmas 2020. This is something that we are all going to have to think about so that we can make the best possible choices and still enjoy the festivities.
Trying to remain positive is easy to say but not quite as easy to do. Here in Warwickshire we have been recently classified as Tier 3 which is directly affecting many businesses and their chances of survival. How are they meant to stay positive if they cannot earn money in the busiest season of the year? Maybe 2021, and January, will be our time to fight back harder. Please spend your time safely and as for New Year’s Resolutions…. they might have to take a running jump at this point!
