10 Questions to Louise at Proxim

Helen Johnson • Dec 03, 2019

Continuing with our theme of celebrating TemplePM turning 10 years earlier this year, we set Louise Andrews the task of answering our questions

This month we've put Louise Andrews, of Proxim Property Management in our hot seat and enjoyed finding out more behind the founder of the company.

How long have you worked in the Block Management Industry?

Accidentally fell into the industry after being made redundant in my 20’s, been here ever since!

What do you enjoy most about your job?

Having worked for big corporate companies I like being able to offer a more bespoke and personal service to leaseholders and clients, our team is like a small family and we all learn from each other. No corporate talk gets in our way!

If you weren’t working in Block what would be your dream job?

My dream job would be owning a wedding dress shop or being a florist.

What makes a good Block Manager?

Someone who is personable, with knowledge of the industry to be able to explain to residents everything from budgets to capex plans. It is often difficult having to deliver bad news such as higher service charge payments or monies needed for S20 works, being open and transparent and also firm is the right approach.

Block for life or is there something else you fancy doing career wise?

I sincerely hope its block for life since we have started our own company.

What would be your ideal holiday destination?

Dubai, New York and love city breaks such as Rome and Venice. Also love Cornwall and many UK destinations

What do you do in your spare time?

Starting a new business doesn’t leave much spare time and the spare time you have you find yourself thinking of new ways to provide a better service, be more effective, its literally a head full of ideas non-stop! But I do love the normal things, spending time with family is my favourite and playing board games.

Describe yourself in 3 words

Passionate, loyal and clumsy

If you were given a million pounds right now, what would be the first thing you would buy?

Probably pay off my mortgage and spend some of it on the family, maybe a nice handbag too, yes I know that’s 3 things 😊

Name something that is on your bucket list

I want to go on safari (somewhere I don’t bump into any snakes)
